swingball

swingball-design.jpg a great suggestion by Dawn Youll ( blog comments)  has got me thinking of swing ball.  Linking the threads passing over and back on the loom and the tennis ball being batted about,  it seems to be a nice to way to link both ..  an embroidered tennis ball attached to swingball perhaps .. an interactive way of batting ‘local history’ about ??  printed swing ball bats?

    that’s a great suggestion. i can imagine the connections between the words on the bats and what is on the ball, then what about if you switch and use different bats, with different words printed on them . . .or should all bats have the same words, and it’s just the balls that have different words on them . . .?
